In the Cap de Creus, the steepest and most unspoilt area of the Costa Brava, far from other towns, Cadaqués has made a virtue of this distance, a guarantee of its unique character. Art, landscape, nature and culture combine in this town, with its recognisable silhouette. It would be hard to name all the characters who have succumbed to the charm of Cadaqués, though we would mention the great painter Salvador Dali. Its coastline, with pebbled beaches and splendid seabeds, is notable due to the excellent quality of its water.
