The Association of diving centers Costa Brava Sub promotes diving activities in Costa Brava, ensuring their quality and sustainability
Our vocation for the conservation of seas and oceans, specially of the Mediterranean, is reflected in the 5 commitments of our flyer “The Sea, a sensitive space"; in the training of our instructors for the realization of ecobriefings and for supervision of diving areas and in the participation in study and awareness campaigns
Our companie's good practices (five commitments of our Diving Centers)
- We apply environmental criteria, such as waste management and the reduction of energy consumptions
- We have protection systems for spills from boats
- We use mooring buoys, whenever possible, with ecological anchors
- We respect the rules and ensure they are respected
- We do eco-briefings
Responsible diving (five commitments for all divers)
- We don't throw anything overboard
- We don't feed the fish
- We don't touch plats or animals, nor do we take anything from the sea bed
- We don't put pressure on animals to get them to come out of ther hiding places
- We control our floatability and our flippers.
