Ecoguias is a project of the diving centers that make up the professional association of diving on the Costa Brava.
The objective of the project is to provide diving centers with the tools to practice diving with environmental sustainability criteria through eco-guidance techniques and the dissemination of the natural values of the seabed, understanding that protection is only possible from knowledge.
The project has been developed in 3 phases. The first, in 2018, offered training to guides and professionals from diving centers to carry out ecobriefings.
The second phase, the Ecoguiding Tools, was carried out in 2021 and consisted of the preparation of materials for ecobriefing aimed at both centers and beginner and consolidated divers.
Finally, in 2022, we closed the project with the Eco-guided Immersion Route along the Costa Brava, a proposal to discover underwater environmental values through 12 thematic axes, as well as a decalogue and a video of good practices.

The project as a whole has been possible thanks to the aid of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Generalitat de Catalunya, channeled by the Costa Brava Local Fisheries Action Group.
