The Costa Brava Diving Centers Association celebrates four years as a member of the Costa Brava Local Fishing Action Group.

It was the first private entity to get involved, as it saw in this project a true strategic complicity between different sectors of the sea and a space for active participation to work on sustainability, local development and the diversification of the blue economy on the Costa Brava.

For the members of Sub Costa Brava, the shared objectives were and remain clear:

• Preserve marine ecosystems and incorporate good practices in the use of natural resources in all the sectors involved.
• Promote scientific research on marine habitats to guide sectoral policies based on knowledge.
• Promote non-invasive or extractive activities, such as diving, to diversify the economic activity of coastal areas.

Equally important is participation in a collective space for debate on local coastal development, where brotherhoods, town councils, environmental entities and other tourism companies can dialogue and share needs.

These same objectives remain valid today, and for this reason the Sub Costa Brava Association maintains an active role in the tasks of the Local Fishing Action Group.
